I have recently started a brand new forum dedicated solely to proxies, nothing more, nothing less. It teaches people how to start them, manage them, monetize them and more! However, we have a special goal.
Many of the world's governments restrict and/or repress the internet access of their citizens. By creating a proxy you're not only going to turn a profit, but you'll be helping a vast human rights movement!
Finally, we have a special area where you can post advertisements for your proxies to help them gain exposure. (Please don't spam!)
Take a look. I hope you enjoy it. Click here.
Note: I hope it was okay to post this! No rule violations intended, just trying to get the word out.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Remember forums.webproxytalk.com is one of the oldest forums with 836 which is a pretty descent number compared to webevader (69 members) and discussproxy with (72 members) but I think the most active lately has been webevader forums and the netbuilder.org proxy section.
Personally I think the proxy community is not too crowded or too active to have too many forums, obviously everyone has their chance to give it a try. If I was one of the owners and I had enough funds I think I would buy the other forums and merge them all together I guess...........
Good luck with the forum! I might signup in a few weeks Let's hope it will become an active place -- although there are a lot of other forums talking about the same
DiscussProxy.com is starting to become popular again lately, it had a dryspell but it's starting to do a bit better than WebEvader, now I have to beat Netbuilders!!!!
Good luck with your own forum.
Great to see another proxy forum owner at NetBuilders ... I wish you the best of luck with the forum.
@ Will.Spencer you forgot munchausen from Proxy.org... but he isn't too active
Well WebEvader might be inactive at the moment... But I will be opening a contest in a couple weeks time... Everyone Join NOW !!! lol
I think it's pretty hard to keep a proxy forum very active, even proxy blogs. Only reason made me develop proxieslounge.com is because I was very confident and there were not too many proxy blogs at the time, just a few which were not even very active and some didn't have their own themes section either.
Well good luck all proxy forum owners, may the best succeed!
There is always room for people to try and do something. It's all about the will to put the time and effort into it.
I don't think he meant that in a bad way and neither should anyone because everyone is free to follow his dreams and develop the forum, blog, site. We're just saying the proxy community is not big enough to have different proxy forums active at the same time, so once another proxy forum gets in business it's a tough competition.
Not even the largest proxy forum right now is very active, that's all
I have a few suggestions:
1) Why are you using phpBB 2? It's extremely outdated, and even worse than the horrible phpBB 3. I suggest you get MyBB, and if you want to pay, vBulletin.
2) You shouldn't make the threads members-only. This discourages guests from registering. Maybe set a minimum amount of threads per guest and THEN require registration?
3) This is about your website. I read your 'suggested hosts' page, and you are recommending people use Hostgator and Dreamhost for their proxies. NEITHER of the hosts allow proxies, if you read their TOS. I suggest you change it to actual proxy hosts.
