Thread: Proxy? How to promote?

I'm very interested to have my own proxy site and soon I'm going to create. Could somebody here please advice me how do I promote my site? There are millions of sites out there, as I see there is a huge competition. What are the successful methods?

Start here:

• Advertising proxies through groups and social media
• Advertising your proxy through proxy toplists

Then, submit your new proxy to these Proxy Lists.

I try, but I'm not a proxy expert like some of our members here.

Promoting a new proxy site....you might want to see if you can find some expired domains that were former proxy sites, I know that there are a bunch of them out there.

I dont agree with that, If i have to start a new proxy i will go with a BRAND NEW domain.

However getting an expired domain and forwarding it to the new one could help as a lot of the proxy lists out there do not run a backlink check or status check so even though the site is offline or not a proxy its still listed on those proxy lists. So getting an older one that is still listed on these sites and forwarding everything to the new one can give you a little more visitors. Residual traffic isnt a bad thing

Alright this is it, though, a dropped domain means it's been used for at least one year, so there is a 69,69% (I like this number ) chance that the proxy will be blocked. And you have to be pretty lucky if you find a good one (I'm checking proxy.org list sometime to find dropped domains )

It will be blocked without a doubt though you could get traffic from several other locations. Now will the amount of traffic you get be worth the time searching for one and researching it along with the investment to buy is another question.
