AdSense is the current king of CPC revenue, but they don't allow their ads to be placed on proxified pages. Well , sort of. The word "proxy" does not appear anywhere in the AdSense Program Policies
or Terms and Conditions
. The problem is that AdSense doesn't allow their ads to be placed on all sorts of pages and you, as the proxy owner, can't control where the user browses.
But... I have two potential work-arounds in mind:
- Something like 50% of all proxy viewers go to MySpace.com. Could you not create a "whitelist" of safe sites like Myspace.com and only display AdSense on pages if the user is visiting one of those sites?
- Could you read the proxified page and only display AdSense if the page was already showing AdSense ads? I mean, if it's already showing AdSense ads, then it's probably OK. Right?
