    Proxy.org 5$ Email blasts

What are your experiences with them?

I saw substantially increased traffic whenever I tried them, but didn't get much profit out of it. Of course part of the problem may lie with my hosting at the times of the email blasts.

It's quite frustrating to see your site loading slowly or not at all, the day after you pay for an email blast.

I've tried it once and it failed. Since I'm not the biggest fan of Proxy.Org I won't try the service again It might be good, but since the amount of proxies per mail etc.. it's not worth it IMO

yes, i am also dont think that have worth IMO.
they have some minus point according to me.

    - 20 proxy in each blast, so you will get less or no traffic if your proxy in bottom
    - they blast proxy to 125k peoples but i think lot of useful mails id becaz all members is from long time and lot of no more interested.
    - No support, {i was pay him for blast but my server was corrupt and i am contect him about this and request to blast my proxy another day but not got any reply}

You are solely responsible for the performance of your site. You should contact your hosting provider for any assistance you may require with their service.

Again, hosting problems have no relevancy to any service offered by Proxy.org.

    Thanks for the laugh
Proxy.org's Email Blasts enable proxy webmasters to reach over 135,000 members for only $5. This works out to less than 4¢ CPM. I know of no comparable offering.

Proxy.org sends 1 mailing per day with up to 20 proxies per mailing. Proxies are displayed in random order. For each of the 35 mailing lists that we send to, the proxies are reordered randomly. This ensures a fair distribution for all proxies. See any of the archived messages on Proxy.org's groups for an idea of how many have been sent in the past.

Actually, we can now reach over 135,000 members. New members signup every day.

Incorrect. Proxy.org provides excellent support for its customers. In your case, you purchased an Email Blast on September 2. The only correspondence that we have received from you since then are requests to list your proxies.

Proxy.org is the proxy authority. Over 44,000 proxies listed, 44,000 forum users, and 200,000 mailing list subscribers.Get an Email Blast for only $5 (just 2.5¢ CPM).

I'm definitely going to purchase one as you guys say your site slows down so the hits must be immense.

No problem And yes, I'm sure for some sites it's great (imagine that your proxy is #1 to a blast from your BIG groups), but for the other ones, they could be #1 to in a blast (since they are random right?) but than posted to a smaller group of 200 members for example, which won't bring a lot of traffic in...

Well, maybe I'm going to try your service once again, hopefully with more luck and better results

Technically it won't ensure a fair distribution because a proxy could be randomly place #20 in every email blast.

Maybe you should create a formula so that every proxy is distributed fairly over the 35 groups instead of 'randomly', that will end some of the controversies about the email blast's reliability. Potentially getting you more repeat/new customers in the long run since you service will deliver high results to a higher percentage of your customers.

The slowing down was not due to the email blast. It was due to hosting issues.

Definitely get a reliable and fast host before buying proxy.org email blasts.

I've tried the Proxy.org E-Mail Blast before as well and it certainly was not worth it.

When you look at all of the variables involved, such as the number of members who are actively visiting the proxies in the e-mails, how many of those e-mails are even opened, and then the number of proxies in the mailing, followed by your exact placement in the list, etc... it's unlikely that you'll receive anything substantial enough to offset the cost unless you're lucky.

As WebEvader said, randomly ordering the proxies does not result in fair and even distribution on the list.
Finally, Munchausen's statements here just cemented my Anti-Proxy.org feelings even more.
