Proxy Site Bandwidth Requirements

Ok so im starting my proxy seriously for the first time and it seems if you submit your site to all the groups listed on this forum i should be getting between 400-1000 hits for my first month how much bandwidth would i need? 50GB,100GB

50 GB is enough

Start out with 60GB or so, and increase as you go. For my first two months of proxies I lasted with 100GB.

Start small and work your way up. Don't forget that Gylpe and PHProxy have ways to limit the maximum size of file downloads to prevent a lot of users from sucking bandwidth by downloading huge files. You might even want to use a host that offer mod_bandwidth or mod_bw to limit access on the server-side. Blocking countries like China and Iran are essential as well.

he is right, you must have VPS to run a proxy site. because no hosting allow proxy sites , i have experience with proxy sites

There are quite a few hosts which specialize in proxy hosting, and don't require you to invest in a VPS.

Depends, we host proxies that use 5gb per month and others who use 5tb.

You can host on our dedicated servers for ads on your proxied pages, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited domains and full youtube, facebook support etc...
