Thread: Which Proxy Web Host Should we Avoid?

Hey guys just wanted to know any bad experiences with your proxy web host and which one were the worst from customer support, uptime, speed?

Let me know which one should be completely avoided.

3 bad proxy hosts i know, one is offline for more than 2 years, i don't remember its name, scammed a lot of people in the autumn of 2007, the second is offline too, was online only 1 or 2 months, owner drakzor, a kid, the third is still alive, i won't give its name.

ForciumHosting was bad
Prahost was bad
IwhiC was bad
TMZHosting is bad

That's my list, the only good hosts are TechEntrance & ElevatedServers I guess

Hosting Company Recommendations

I've used TechEntrance and TMZ myself.

TechEntrance were very good I had no problems with them at all. On the downsdie they are fairly expensive.

TMZ are not worth it at all, the prices seem good but the servers are constantly down or super slow. The only good thing they have is fast customer support, but whats the point in speed when they never resolve the issues?

Somebody told me it was not ethical if we point out the web host company and I do understand his point - thank you. But actually this is more like a hosting review, only difference is that this thread is about the worst only. The ones that offered you bad support, bad hosting experience, the ones that made your proxy site go from $50/mo to 1$/mo revenue because of their bad hosting, it happened to me so I know how it feels not happy!

(In the future we'll talk about good hosts too)

Then by that logic it would never be 'logical' to point out anything which is wrong in a public place? People need to be told if services that are offerd are sub-standard!

The fact is TMZ have been a let down to everyone concerned, so avoid them they are the worst from my point of view.

TMZ hosting is worst of all times because is the first time when my site dropped from the first page of Google, was 3rd and now is on the page 4, their servers were terrible, problems happen almost daily. They ignored all the people reporting the speed issues for months. In two years i never saw such a bad host. Such a host should be closed, it's a shame.

Totally agree with you, I asked them on a support ticket why the site was down so many times and they just closed the ticket without answering it.
