Anyone know the going price for a proxy that gets 1000 avg unique views with a brandable domain name and quality traffic?

Generally, a website can be sold for 12x its monthly revenue if the revenue is consistent.

Not proxies though. They're more like 5-8x the monthly.

That varies. Proxies that have received traffic from toplists and will die out soon are only worn that much. However, proxies that rank in the top 5 for a term like "unblock facebook" tend to see a consistent increasing trend in revenue; and can be sold for much more.

It's all about the quality of traffic really.

I disagree. I rank third for the term "unblock youtube" in the US and less than 10% of my traffic is from searches and my traffic has stayed level for a while now.

Well that's for your term. Not all search keywords are equal.

To expand on what Zash said, a proxy with established rankings for a high traffic search term, especially one focused on US visitors, will add a lot to the value of a site when it's being sold.

ok, then what should a good proxy with US and western Euro traffic be earning per day?

Yeah, I understand this. But a website can only be worth a multiple of what it does plus a little of what it has potential to make if the original owner didn't optimise earning fully. I see that the general trend for value is 10-12x months revenue on normal websites, but I generally only see proxies making 5-8x.

Unblock youtube gets 74k global monthlys and unblock facebook gets 246k according to Google adwords.

Imo, unless you're top of the Google search results the search engine traffic really isn't that huge.

Loyal visitors and presumably word of mouth is seemingly the biggest traffic source for me.
