text ads, image ads, or both

I was always taught textads but maybe its different now.

If I tell you, I would have to kill you.
I used image ads but they didn't work that well for me..i guess image ads related to proxies are hard to find..text ads seem to be working fine with me..

Well, since this thread is started in "Web Proxies" forum I guess, asked w.r.t ads on proxy sites..

But yes, image ads works best with gaming, entertainment sites..they get good CTR..but these niches provide low CPC.

Text ads thrive off of clicks whereas images thrive off of impressions.

So what it comes down to is:
Will your audience be more likely to click, or just visit the page?

Earnings apart, a mix of both is best. Image ads are often attractive and help spice up your site, and attract attention of people towards ads. Text links offer a variety of ad choices to the visitor.

    Text ads all the way!
    and 1 banner

I think the adwords bids for text ads are higher than the ones for banners
