Value of Mail Blast - Advise Please

Some advise please - I have Google and yahoo Groups with 40,000 members. Want to start offering an email blast service. Does a max 5 people at $2 a blast sound reasonable?

Correct, trying to get a feel. I might well offer as a freebie with a site submit to my proxy list for a while to build some interest and get some feedback.
