This must be the most-hyped SEO ("essential") plugin for WP. It's scary to think how many web 2.0 SEO and Warrior/Internet Marketing blogs will be out in the wild that are not kept up to date.

I sent a notice out to all my past WoprdPress clients and several have asked me to do the updates. I'm finding that most have never done any updates since their site was installed up to 5 years ago. This is despite the fact that I send notices advising people to do updates whenever there is an important update. Most people just don't do the updates, even though it has become very simple to do.

I used Yoast SEO for some of the newer sites. That plugin is more comprehensive.

Normal people that commissioned a web site would not expect to regularly need to update the back end code IMO. So I understand why they never updated it.

That's true, but I instruct everyone regarding how to do updates and why they should do them.
