Thread: Global Translator and PageRank

Hello everyone.

I installed the WordPress Global Translator Plugin here:
Make Money Online | Running Online Business

You'll notice it on the right hand side beneath the advertisers.
Now, my question is: Won't all those links result in my homepage losing pagerank because it's giving it to all the other languages?

I don't see it o_o there's only "Recent posts" and "Categories"

Yeah, I removed it to prevent problems until I got an answer here.

Basically it's a small set of flags, each linked to like:
runningonlinebusiness.com/de or /fn -- for each language.

The flags would appear on the sidebar on every page.

Its the flags at the top of the page.

You won't lose PR by running the plugin. Will has some old posts on here where he gets into the benefits of using, etc.

I tried that, but nothing seems to nofollow them.

I do not think Global Translator plugin would hurt the Pagerank. How would it?

Because every flag links (dofollow) to a whole new directory for each language.

I have the feeling that my PR would be spread to all of those pages, but I don't want it to be.

do you think wikipedia loses its PageRank because of translation?
