Thread: Gravatar Plugin on Wordpress blog

Hi all,

Can somebody help me with this?

I just installed the Gravatar plugin for my Wordpress blog. Downloaded the plugin from this link:

I installed it and activated it but it the gravatars didn't show up right in the comments. Please have a look at this page:

Are you talking about the cascading indents?

My first thought was that the </ul> tags must be missing, but they are right where they should be.

That could mean that they are not being seen properly by the HTML interpreter due to some other code issue.

The next step was to validate the code on the entire page: [Invalid] Markup Validation of http://www.myloansconsolidated.com/2008/12/30/2009-resolution-%E2%80%93-irs-tax-settlements/ - W3C Markup Validator

Ack... 174 errors to fix.

Please fix those and post again if the Gravatar error still occurs.

how come there's so many errors in it? Is it the template I'm using?

Take a look at the error log.

NBJMP is causing quite a few errors, otherwise... Yes, mostly mis-codes from the template coder.

It looks like something called "adman" is responsible for a bunch of them.

Better get to fixin' 'em!

Adman is a cool adsense plugin for wordpress, I use it on some of my sites, still yes, it gave me a huge headache in the beginning.

WP already has the Gravatar display function built into it - In the discussisions tab.

Is this not what you are trying to accomplish or am I missing something? Why do you need a plugin for the Gravatar thing?

Yes, actually to show the gravatars of the people that's commenting on my blog. So discussion tab? I gotta go check

Why would there be a WP widgets for Gravatars/ Avatars if it's already there in WP??

Now my problem is -- I already set it to "Show Avatars" in the Discussion tab but it still don't show the images.

It must be a template problem.
The plugin exists before those were integrated in WP standard release.
