    Mobile Plugin for WordPress

Does anyone have experience with mobile site plugins of themes for WordPress?

I have tested a few and none have worked well.

The most popular freebie mobile plugin appears to be MobilePress, but that only displays some text and menu items. I would have to develop a theme to work with it.

Does anyone have recommnedations for a plugin, or plugin and theme combination?

Are you asking for a plugin that makes any theme work well on a mobile device? If so, I don't think it's going to work well on small screens. I believe that the theme must be designed with the mobile platform in mind from the outset.

There is just too much of a difference in view port width from a 320px wide iPhone display geared to vertical scrolling to a computer with a big flat panel monitor that may be at least 1920 pixels wide lending itself to 3 columns of content.

There are dozens of mobile plugins for WordPress, but none appear to work well. With some, menus disappear and you are left without navigation. It would be nice to have a plugin that creates a separate and easily modifiable theme.

I prefer the standard browser interface for my iPhone. I don't like it when sites throw me into a mobile design with no way to switch back to the normal interface.
