    Safe backup plug in

I need a database backup daily on my Wordpress and i am thinking of using

    Il Filosofo WordPress Database Backup

but then it needs 777 and some say 777 never safe and some say some time safe.

Is this plugin safe or not?

Do we have a better way?

  2. What sort of access do you have to the host? Can you backup on the MySQL level or the cPanel level or the Unix level?

  4. What interfaces does Hostgator provide their resellers?

Are you planning for your own backups -- or backups of your customers?

If you have WHM, you have cPanel -- no?

If you have cPanel, you can use either of these options to backup MySQL:

You may have a damaged gz file. Download the file again and try re-installing.

You may also try the Il Filosofo Support Forum
