I have not seen any problems with either 3.4 or 3.4.1. The updates go smoothly.

Like iowadawg says, always do a backup before an update. It only takes a few seconds and it is cheap insurance just in case something gets screwed up.

It looks like the WordPress team is starting to abandon the old rapid release methodology and are doing more testing and fewer updates. Kudos to them if they are.

I see that there is a post format setting now. I wonder what that is for?

If you are talking about the Standard, Aside and Gallery selections, they have been in there for a while. I have not yet played with them, but I know that the theme has to support them.

Yes, this looks like a powerful feature that should be embraced by theme designers.

New wordpress update now....

3.4.2

Version 3.4.2 addressed some security issues and fixed 20 bugs.

Of course 3.4.2 is now available. I just updated a series of sites to 3.4.1.

Got my couple of blogs updated.

I am avoiding buying domains and opening up new blogs.
