    Post Wordpress Global Translator Plugin

I am currently using the Wordpress Global Translator Plugin on my Affiliate Manager blog and it has given me some great results. The plugin is easy to install and will automatically translate your wordpress posts into 35 different languages.

I posted some results from using the plugin here and if you run a Wordpress blog you think is ready by any international users I defintily suggest you try it out. I have affiliates from all over the world and I think they really appreciate being able to read my posts in their own language. I can tell sometimes when I call them that they really struggle with english and I think this really encourages them to read my blog considering all the e-mails we send out at XY7.com to our affiliates are in english.

However, I didn't just do this for my affiliates. I took four years of German in high school and I've recently found myself to be thinking in german more and missing reading it. So, I now read my own posts in german to help me practice

    Was denkst du?

That seems to work really well. The problem I had with all of the other translation scripts I looked at a few years ago was that they did not creating indexable pages. This one seems to do that just fine.

Google is indexing these pages. [proof]

Are you seeing search engine traffic directly to your translated pages yet?

Yeah, Google is indexing the pages and I am getting traffic from search engines to the pages (which I mentioned in my post).

All of those Snuggie terms are from from foreign search engines to the post in the native language.

Although it may not be all that great grammatically, it is better than nothing. As long as they can follow what you are saying. I mean, shoemoney doesn't have the best grammatical skills, but people still read his blog

    Hi,
Yes google is indexing those pages as Will says, but I mainly worried about duplicate content,as google will index the same url again and again but with different text..Won't this put a red flag in SE's system ??

I was worried about this myself at first as well, but I don't think it actually counts as duplicate content. Each page has it's own URL and they're all hosted under my own domain. How can they discount me for having the same content on the same server under the same domain?

I suppose it is something to worry about still because I don't know the true answer to this, but I believe the benefits (for me at least) are outweighing the costs. Now, if my content starts to disappear from the index or drop in ranking I will let you know

I don't think it's duplicate content, as the text is almost entirely different. The URL's are definitely different.

On the other hand, Google definitely did de-index the translated pages of a number of my web sites late last year.

    Google remains a mystery.

I've been using that script for 1 year or so now, and it's awesome!
I get a lot of traffic on the translated pages, but G as been de-indexing those lately.

There is only one concern about that script, you must bare in mind that the G Adsense TOS doesn't allow you to have ads on some languages.

    You need to deactivate:

    • Catalan
    • Filipino
    • Hindi
    • Indonesian
    • Latvian
    • Lithuanian
    • Slovenian
    • Ukrainian
    • Vietnamese
In order to comply with the TOS

Catalan? Are you sure of that? The reason I ask is that one of my sites covers Catalunya and to be friendly to Catalonians (also Valencians and and Balearic Islanders) I have used some Catalan words rather than the Castillian alternative. And this page has AdSense on it.
