WordPress Hack: Highlight Author Comments

Hi!

I have had many people ask me how to highlight WordPress author comments. There is a plugin, but it does slow down the site.

I was surprised that many people did not know how to do so.
Here is the way to do it without the code, and it is really easy.

Personally, I don't like the idea of highlighting the author's comments. Over on my blog, I try and really interact with the other commentators, so by highlighting my comments I just feel that's seperating me from them.

I understand what you're trying to say, and its pretty good to be equal or merge with commentators. Not to show someone out of the box.
But still some famous/big blogs lets say Smashing Magazine use these kinda codes/plugins to show their author post different from other. Somtimes its just necessary !

Yeah, on bigger blogs it's a good thing to do in my opinion, as there will be so many comments that you need to identify yourself from the rest to get the attention, as no one is going to scroll down and read 100 comments to get to yours
