Remove the contact form.
How do I turn off the email on a wp blog?
I do not want wordpress to send me emails?
Example like this
A user tried to go to mydomain.com received a 404 (page not found) error. It wasn't their fault, so try fixing it.
They came from mydomain.com
I also do not want emails when a comment is left.
Would like everything turned off.
Thanks in Advance.
(Side note) Did the same guy that invented e-mail invent the coin machine? LOL
All of my email questions are about different sites not the same site.
I do not see how removing the contact form will help me with this.
How will removing the contact from stop wp from sending me an email saying you have a new comment on your blog?
Or an email saying that their is an error on the page?
Lost on that.
Must be away my new host sent me a PM wanted to know why the site sent over 100 emails in less then a hour. I don't think he is happy with me. I think he thinks I am sending spam. I did explain what was going on.
There must be some way to stop this.
It is already is going to a free email account. But it is still sending ever time a comment is made.
I was hoping I could edit a line somewhere or add a plugin or something like that.
Close the comments until you find a solution.
Do you have a backup that you can reinstall? There may be some code that was injected into the database.
I'm using a back database plugin that will email the back-up every x amount of hours

About getting emailed whenever someone comments, log in to your wordpress admin panel. Go to Settings -> Discussion, find "Email me whenever" and uncheck "Anyone posts a comment" and/or "A comment is held for moderation" if you want. Then just save your changes.
